Stenbron över
Aggaån: This beautiful stone
bridge was built during the 1870´s by bridgebuilder Persson
from Stenslanda in Tävelsås.
The bridge is the boundary between Tingsryd and Växjö commune. |

Åryd
Järnbruk:
The time of iron works at Åryd lasted until 1885. The iron ore was
collected in lakes nearby during the winter. The foundry then changed its
concentration and became a modern sawmill 1903, and in the 50´s it was
rebuilt to an industry that manufactured particle boards. |

Osaby
Naturreservat och Säteri:
The
nature reserves landarea of 225 ha includes all cultivated land and about
100 ha of forests at the Swedish Society for Nature Conservations largest
property in the country. The reserve have many visitors and many paths
have been restored. |

Jäts gamla
kyrka: The old church
from the 13:th century is to be seen as both a church and a museum,
and has a very old character. The interior is characterized by the
colorful paintings from the 18:th century. This church is very
popular for weddings. You find the church in a cultural environment,
surrounded by stone walls, cairns and small country roads. There is
also ancient monuments, prehistorical burial grounds and larger
cairns nearby. |

Vederslövs
Gamla Kyrka: The
old church is a typical medieval parish curch. The church is to be
considered as both a museum and a church, and is built in roman
style around the year 1200. It is quite a big church with nave,
choir and sacristy. In the southeastern corner of the choir there is
a unique stone with an ornamented lion. The outside of the church
was reconditioned during the years 1997 - 98. |

Snugge:
Kristina Jonasdotter was born on August 20th in 1843 in Sjöabol, a
small cottage in the village Vederslöv, outside Växjö in
Kronoberg, Småland, Sweden. She had five brothers and one
sister.
Many members of the family had musical talents. Kristina's brother
Karl played the violin, her sister Anna Katarina was a good singer,
better than Kristina according to some people, and her father sang
in the church choir on Sundays. |

Dränningelanda
klockstapel: Dänningelanda
church wassituated here earlier. The first church at this place was
built in themiddle ages and stood here until 1750, when it was hit
by a fire. 1952 a new belltower was builtat the cemetary. The
cemetary has been a burial place since the middle ages,
and still is for the people in Dänningelanda. |

Kalvsviks
old cemetary: Close to the new church in
Kalvsvik you can find the remains of the old cemetary which now is
desolate and no longer in use. It is an idyllic spot, and where the alter
once was there now stands a cross. A large grave slab is placed east of
the cross, and both old and newer grave stones are placed along the stone
walls. |
